A journey through sculptural surfaces and finishes to rewrite the relationship between design, light, and sensory dimension.
The showroom restyling by Arch. Venier of OTTO Studio transforms matter into a sensory experience.
On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2025, Milan's Brera District becomes a stage for experimentation and creativity. The inspiration for the project originates from the theme of the Novacolor Color Trends 2025, curated by architect Gianpaolo Venier of OTTO Studio, and unfolds through the use of the most advanced decorative innovations offered by the brand, showcased through iconic products such as CalceCruda, Era a Pennello, and Celestia Wall_Painting. The result is a space rooted in Novacolor’s continuous research, aimed at creating a progressively more sensorial, immersive design that deeply engages those who inhabit it.
The showroom surfaces explore the bold use of pigmented paste materials, presenting a palette of dusty blues combined with the orange nuances of Eclipsia, Color of the Year 2025. The color transitions occur in a natural and fluid way, with materials blending into one another, creating a color play that is deliberately non-artificial but instead emerges from the matter itself. The result is a mutating decorative landscape where color is both substance and perception.
A distinctive element of the setup is the liquid metal effect created by Metallo_Fuso, which acts as a bond between the material surfaces of the showroom, covering the furnishing elements and delivering an unexpected visual effect. Completing the installation are the continuous resin system Wall2Floor Waterproof for the floors and a bespoke collection of Novacolor Wallpapers, designed specifically for the occasion by Gianpaolo Venier to cover the ceiling.
"The installation, as a whole, plays on the ambiguity between natural and artificial, between raw and treated materials, prompting a reflection on the architectural need to use materials with a natural appearance – such as earths – which simultaneously meet high technical performance. It is a delicate balance between technology and nature that drives innovation in design and functionality." – Arch. Gianpaolo Venier, curator of the restyling.
“The synergy between color and matter is the strength of this project, a dialogue between design and sensoriality that fully represents our vision” – Roberta Vecci, Group Contract & Marketing Director, San Marco Group.
During Fuorisalone 2025, Novacolor is not only the protagonist of its own showroom, but will also be present in other key locations across the city, offering a sensory and visual journey through innovation and matter:
- Salvioni Milano Durini – Via Durini 3, Milan
- Horm Showroom – Via Volta 4, Milan
- Horm Hub Milano – Via A. Diaz 12, Lissone (MI)
