The "cave design" explodes in the decoration of the English residential project that makes the stone effect a must-have in terms of new architectural trends.
"The Pietra Project" realised in Leeds by the surface design specialist Tocco Minerale with its partner Stucco & Stucco, was created with the aim of bringing cave design, a contemporary architectural style that emphasises the natural appearance of stone, into interior decoration.
Novacolor, thanks to a proposal of decorative finishes that are able to reproduce wall effects through a fast and thin layer application, responds to the aesthetic desire to obtain materiality and naturalness of interior surfaces through a final result that can be achieved with great ease and speed. The idea of strongly material decoration introduced in The Pietra Project was perfectly expressed by Archi+ Pietra Intonaco, a coarse-grained decorative powder finish based on hydraulic lime, chosen to dress surfaces, walls, false ceiling and wall shelving in the room designed by the decorator Tom Figas.
The decorated room simulates the interior of a cave thanks to its full-bodied textured surfaces and minimal elegance. The atmosphere recreated is that of a contemporary, high-end space, comfortable and cosy, also thanks to the decorative sandy mixture enhanced even more by the inclusion of gold mica details and modern LED lighting.
Nature, in all its forms, has become the protagonist in architecture. Precisely for this reason, there is a tendency to invest in products with a low environmental impact, among which Archi+ Pietra Intonaco, a cult proposal of the Novacolor line ‘Minerals’, stands out. This finish capable of high adhesion, elasticity and breathability, as well as resistance to alkaline aggression and the formation of mould and bacteria, has distinguished itself by being completely free of materials that are harmful not only to health, but also to the environment.
Archi+ Pietra Intonaco is in fact among the Novacolor lime-based finishes to have crossed the new threshold of the sustainable avant-garde thanks to the acquisition of Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification, a consolidated and internationally recognised tool for demonstrating the product's compliance with the low VOC emission criteria established in Europe. The product, considered a best in class for guaranteeing indoor air quality, on the one hand testifies to a safe and reliable offer, and on the other contributes to maintaining the high aesthetic standards that outline the evolution of architecture in recent years.
