We are part of a complex system, a world made of atoms charged with pure essence, life, light, but above all color. Choosing the best way to live consciously has become a mantra. Building the atmosphere in which our being can live in harmony is the goal that everyone strives for.
For the 2023 Color Trends, Novacolor has selected, together with the Architect Barbara Sansonetti, three lifestyles to be inspired by: we welcome Cozy Life, Nomadism, Fluid Positivity.
The Cozy life style is a world of pastel colors, soft and reassuring, which help to live the domestic environment as a safe and comfortable landing place. The home is the nest in which one can live serenely in the company of loved ones, pampered by soft, timeless colors. Warmth and tranquility to feel protected by the intimacy of whispering luxury.
Palette: Inspiring Mauve (MM277), Breathing Blue (MM276), Cozy Greige (MM275), Relaxing Sage (MM278).
The colors selected for Nomadism have the strength and energy of those who seek change but have respect for the traditions, history and culture of each people. Nomadism lovers are not afraid of saturated, rich, imposing color, and are ready to change and revise their positions with courage and awareness. To leave and then return home to a place open to the world.
Palette: Joy Yellow (MM279), Courage Red (MM281), Active Blue (MM280), Balance Green (MM282).
The Fluid positivity color selection tells of a mood that does not want to define itself: daring to explore new, transcendental and metaphysical worlds. The bold nuances of this lifestyle are perfect for those who project themselves into the future by re-embracing their present, for those who are not afraid to go beyond the edges of the visible. Realizing one's desires without compromising any more.
Palette: Positive Thoughts (MM283), Virtual Touch (MM285), Fluid Reality (MM284), Open Mind (MM286).
The three rooms that intercept the chromatic journey between the lifestyles we all feel we belong to, finally lead to a new portal opened by Daydreaming (MM274), the 2023 color of the year chosen by Novacolor.
Inspired by 'Ajna', the sixth chakra known as the third eye, Daydreaming is released in deep, intense shades, releasing all the energy associated with perception, wisdom and intuition. Daydreaming to live a real life.
The 2023 Color Trends were exclusively presented on 13 December at the "Museum of Dreamers" in Milan during the "Dream in Colors" event, attended by Pietro Geremia, President and CEO of San Marco Group, Roberta Vecci, International Marketing Director of San Marco Group, Architect Barbara Sansonetti, author and curator of the Color Trends palettes, and Paolo Stella, writer, actor, expert in architecture and interior design, and trendsetter with the now cult Instagram format "Suonare Stella".
The multifaceted talent, who shares with Novacolor the city of origin, presented the evening and entertained the audience with in-depth discussions on color and playful moments such as the "What kind of lifestyle are you?" test, which enabled the guests to learn more about 2023 Color Trends with fun and participation. It was instead up to Pietro Geremia and Roberta Vecci to describe the origins and objectives of the Color Trends project, through a broader tale of Novacolor and San Marco Group between sustainability and innovation:
"The Color Trends project is one of the important investments towards the future that Novacolor and the entire San Marco Group are pursuing with constancy and determination. Our business philosophy looks at tomorrow as if tomorrow were today: we carefully observe every detail that surrounds us in order to sniff out and anticipate the trends and needs to come. The detail we would like to shine the spotlight on this evening is the new MATmotion color trends: flat matt paints formulated with biomasses in which the principles of sustainability and beauty of which Novacolor is the spokesman coexist perfectly". - Pietro Geremia, President and CEO of San Marco Group.
"The ambition Novacolor has set itself with the 2023 Color Trends is not only to inspire but also to interpret. We like to think that our community can find itself in the lifestyles we have identified in order to reconnect with its own individual dimension and look to the future with more momentum. Cozy Life, Nomadism and Fluid Positivity paint three chromatic rooms to be traversed in a path that leads straight to the acquisition of a new awareness made of desires designed to become reality". - Roberta Vecci, Marketing Director San Marco Group.
The 2023 Color Trends are part of MATmotion, a line of professional flat paints with an ultra-matt or eggshell finish. With low emissions of volatile compounds during application, free of formaldehyde and added plasticizers, MATmotion paints allow for rapid reuse of tinted rooms with an eye on sustainability. MATmotion Supreme Matt, MATmotion Supreme Eggshell, MATmotion Extra Eggshell and MATmotion Extra Matt, as well as having a Biomass Balance approach as evidenced by the REDcert² certification, an important attestation in the industry sector dedicated to those who have chosen to invest significantly in sustainable raw materials, have also obtained the Indoor Air Comfort Gold certification, the best guarantee that the products meet the low VOC emission requirements of the market, making them excellent for ensuring indoor air quality.
